Breaking up a fall floral set into two completely different looks.
Fall floral on deck! I picked up this set from H&M with the idea of wearing it as a chic suit. A quick tuck and it could easily go to the office (if I had an office and didn’t work from home, but you get it) or leave it untucked for a pajamas-but-better vibe. When it arrived, I realized the shirt (tunic?) was really long. Although it did still tuck nicely into the pants– the print easily hides any weird lines and the fabric is silky so bunching is minimal– it also worked as a dress. Remix time!
Yes, those slits are high. But I’m short (5’5, hi!) so we were only flirting with indecency rather than openly courting it. To add some interest, I slipped into a pair of fun patterned tights. Hello, chevron fishnets? I’ll play. They provided a quirky contrast to the busy floral print and added a pseudo-layer as a distraction tactic.
Accessory check: black patent pumps, square hoops, and a fistful of rings. Oh, and a new pair of sunglasses. I am pretty in love with these babies (a little gift to myself in celebration of the new job).

So how do you feel about the printed pajama set? I’m really into it and may just have to snag a few more versions via H&M asap. This fall floral is perfect, but there are a few other prints I’m digging. I like the idea of affordable pieces like this that don’t feel “fast fashion.” The quality is very good, the slouchy fit feels more modern, and the ability to break the set apart and remix it several ways stretches your dollar.
Speaking of slouchy, the fit of this ‘fit makes it a prime candidate for the holidays. You could totally Thanksgiving in these pants or this shirt-as-a-dress. Plenty of room for cranberries, turkey, and pumpkin pie!
