A hat and boots with a waffle knit shacket for an easy outfit.
This outfit is giving me Yellowstone + mountain vibes all the way. Hello, it’s me, Montana Ash! I started building this outfit around a super cozy + oversized waffle knit shacket. (Yes! Shackets are still most definitely a thing.) I love the faded pinky-coral color and the fact you can unbutton the sleeve to cuff things up for a different look.
A pair of flare jeans (so, so old– but similar versions here and here) bring a different denim silhouette than my usual straight or wide-leg go-to. The bodysuit was an easy choice to balance out the volume in the shacket. I bookended the look (and really made it Cowgirl Chic) with a beige wide-brim hat and matching ankle boots to keep things neutral and let the shacket shine.
You’ll notice I’m in a new shooting spot. This is part of my backyard, shot from a little concrete pad we have in the back for Dave’s motorcycle. We moved to shoot here because the combo of leafless trees and Daylight Savings meant the sun was too direct in both places we normally use for blog shots. Ahhh, navigating shooting spots in the changing light!
More ways to style this waffle knit shacket: buttoned up as a shirt (maybe worn off the shoulder showing off a little peek of bralette) or thrown over the top of a lightweight sweater dress and tall boots. Big Sky Montana hat optional, of course.
