Lately, I’ve been in the mood for linen and statement sleeves (sometimes in the same outfit). Today it’s about combining those two things in this super affordable cream linen blouse and wearing it with my new fave cutoff shorts. I’m leaning into that neutral frame of mine with a snakeskin belt, cork sandals, and a pair of necklaces with a serious 70s vibe.
The sleeves of this linen blouse give the look some romance. I balanced the volume by tucking the top in these amazing denim shorts (high-waisted, a touch of stretch, and a slightly longer cut so you can wear ’em anywhere) and belting up. Heeled cork sandals lengthen everything out (dupes here) without being too high to manage. (Bless you, block heel.)
What I’m really into right now: dressing up any outfit with a pair of statement gold chains. Yes, you read that right: gold chains. I’ve had the Sierra Winter Jewelry Revival necklace for a while now (you can see it here), but recently added the Eclipse necklace to my collection. It reminded me of a necklace my Grandmother had; being a queen of the 70s and 80s, chunky gold pieces were her whole jam. Sierra’s line has so much attitude– which I’m all about– and the quality is amazing (this is jewelry that is going to turn anything green, let’s just put it that way).
I’ll be wearing this cream linen blouse over and over again this summer because it’s so lightweight and right on-trend. And these shorts? Put ’em in the heavy rotation. They’re about half the price of the Agolde ones (which I love, don’t get me wrong), and they’re every bit as flattering. Score!
