I’ve been intentional about not diving into sandals too quickly and instead making a conscious effort to wear my tall boots into spring. They’re a nice contrast against short dresses and pull double duty to keep the legs warm on those cooler April days. Today’s combo is this oversized graphic dress and a pair of classic block heel black boots.
I was immediately drawn to the vibrant print of this shirt dress– it felt super 80s and reminded me of the apartment in Three Men and a Baby. Already an oversized fit, I bought it a size up to really maximize the slouch. The 80s was all about volume, after all. What makes this graphic dress even more of a find? It’s under $20.
I wanted to anchor this dress in an in-between season, so I played up the black elements. Tall black boots with a bit of structured slouch were the perfect shoe choice to achieve this. I added a sassy black bag with a tough chain feature to further drive this point home.
More ways to wear this graphic dress? Open over a pair of cutoff shorts and a fitted tank or as the coolest swimsuit coverup you ever did see. It’s lightweight, which means it’ll stay super breezy even as spring turns into summer. Roll up the sleeves with a few loose cuffs and tie the hem up around the waist, turning this dress into a super voluminous blouse.
