Oh-so-fall: a mustard blazer with nearly-cowboy boots.
Mustard is one of those perfect fall shades (although it’s a-okay to wear it year-round, thanks very much), am I right? If it’s the color of a fall leaf, I’m here for it. This mustard blazer was a fun (and affordable) Missguided find (also love this version). The longer line and boyfriend fit meant it had an 80s element to it, which I thought would play well with the current Western trends we’re seeing.
These boots are pretty fun and check the comfy boxes: padded footbed, manageable heel. That little dip in the boot shaft is so interesting and (bonus!) flattering. I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit really fitted + simple. This allowed that bright mustard blazer to shine.
I’ll be wearing this blazer again and again– it’s not too heavy (no wool here), which means it’s great for warmer fall days or for layering over lightweight sweaters when winter hits. I think it’ll be really fun over a denim dress and leggings for a remix, or even with faux leather pants if I want to really lean into that 80s vibe.
The boots are another great addition to the fall rotation. The obvious choice is with a skinny jean, but they would work over leggings with a sweater dress for a dressed-up feel. I also really love them under a midi skirt; I pulled this outfitting trick a few weeks back for a girl’s night out and it was a really fun ‘fit to wear.
