Tall beige boots with a winter floral dress for warmer January days.
I love a winter floral right now to break up my usual style diet of black, navy, and beige. Something with a darker background (like this pretty olive green) adds some moodiness and heft to the floral pattern, keeping it from feeling too spring-like. A long sleeve helps anchor this look in winter, also.
On a day that climbed into the upper 40s, I grabbed this H&M dress from the closet and matched it with a pair of tall beige boots. I love the slight slouch of these boots (80s-esque, I’m so down) and the heel is perfect for all-day wear. The color really worked with the floral print and these gorgeous Nickel & Suede earrings. They’re oversized but so light because they’re made of leather. (Genius!)
On colder days, you could layer a turtleneck under this dress and add some winter-weight leggings to warm things up. (And obviously wear a coat!) Because the fabric itself is pretty lightweight, this dress will also work next fall (early on) when summer hasn’t quite ended but everyone is pulling out those autumn hues.
